OK I was wondering if anyone could walk me through how combat works. What do the offensive and defensive stats really mean. For instance, I was able to find the spell appendix and saw that a level 1 fireball does 15 points of damage... how is that applied.
How do the offense and defense numbers of heroes help combat? It seems magic items are incredibly powerful... I have one hero with a 24 defense now.... how is that treated.
I have found 4 of the appendixes just by lucky guessing from the google search. How many total appendixes are there? I have found spells, terrain, followers, and buildings. What else is there?
Another question, how does recruiting work... does leadership really make a differnce? What about summoning? Do level 2 demonologists always summon 2 demons every cast if not in a magic circle? Will a leader with 7 leadership recruit just the same 1 sand work from a desert that a leader with 3 leadership does?
Thanks for any help! | |

Forget the Appendix part... I found the answers myself.
I see it list that you can only recruit great dragons from impassable peaks, but it also says that you cannot travel in them... so how do you get there to recruit them?
Can a leader with all flying troops always enter peaks?

In order for u to recruit dragons or great dragons u have to raise an Impassable Peak terrain yourself. For this u need an Elementalist general. You raise a province you own a number of times until it becomes an Impassable Peak. Then u recruit as many dragons u wish before you leave because even your generals will not be able to enter this terrain again.
